Nigel Walker

Nigel Walker usually describes himself as an artist who uses a camera. He has worked in documentary styles, for instance recording the making of the sculpture commemorating lost trawlermen in St Andrew’s Quay, in social issues, such as The Red Dress and Dissonance as well as travel, still life and landscape photography.

He agrees with American photographer Robert Adams who believes a great photograph  is the right mixture of geography, autobiography and metaphor.

Nigel has shown work in both group shows and solo exhibitions as well as acting as a curator, mentor and frequent speaker on aspects of photography.
